This national market leader, that develops and encourages talent, has a unique opportunity for a Procurement Manager for its Western Suburbs based head quarters. This successful market leader is experiencing accelerated growth at present in both product and market development and is looking for an energetic, passionate person to join the procurement team.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Procurement and working on a high profile project this exciting role will be responsible for managing the execution of nominated jointly procured material associated with free issue suppliers.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Managing subcontract packages so that they fulfil their obligations to ensure the product is delivered in accordance with the project program, technical and performance specifications, within the defined budget.
• Interface and coordinating with engineering resources
• Keeping the local Procurement Manager and Procurement Manager China fully informed of the progress of the contracts
• Timely delivery of product to meet project objectives
• Preparing and issuing tender and contract documentation, minimising risk
• Negotiating and finalising contracts/agreements with suppliers

Preferably, the successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing. Knowledge, experience and understanding of contracts. Understanding of drawings and specifications. Have worked in organisations managing contracts in excess of $5m in value for the design of complex engineered products.
